The second meeting of the Algarve Regional Innovation Council (CIRA), was held on November 20 at the Comissão de Coordenação e Desenvolvimento Regional (CCDR) in Faro, which was attended by about 90 participants.
Results of the work carried out by the various sector working groups (Tourism, Sea, Energy and RIA – Algarve Intelligent Region) was presented by representatives of the Algarve Tourism Region, Maralgarve, Enercoutim and Altice/PT, respectively, with a focus on the activity of CRESC Algarve 2020.
The main output of the Energy working group, the Algarve Regional Energy Strategy, was presented by Marc Rechter, as well as proposed action plans for its implementation.
Several ongoing and new cross sector projects and initiatives will set the Algarve on its path to achieve the objectives set for 2030.
