We are happy to announce BD4NRG’s upcoming workshop, “OPTIMIZING THE MANAGEMENT OF ASSETS (DISTRIBUTED ENERGY RESOURCES – DER) CONNECTED TO THE GRID”, which will be held on the 13th of December, in Ljubljana, Slovenia (Hotel Grand Hotel Union Eurostars in Ljubljana (eurostarshotels.co.uk)
In the last two decades, the energy sector has undergone a significant transition. Government incentives and advances in technology have resulted in a proliferation of distributed renewable energy resources, particularly solar and wind generation. In addition to this, plug-in electric vehicles are penetrating the market. As a result, the electrical load has an entirely different character and in the resulting distributed grid, the energy and information flows are bidirectional.
Therefore, it is critical to leverage available data to better understand energy demand and align this to energy generation and distribution to maximize operational efficiency. The “BD-4-DER” Large Scale Pilots (LSPs) focus on optimizing the management of assets connected to the grid.
